St John's Preparatory and Senior School is a selective Christian independent school in Potters Bar, under Enfield local authority, teaching around 500 boys and girls aged 3 to 19, with nursery classes and a sixth form. Ofsted rated it Outstanding at its last full inspection in May 2019, so that judgement is now dated; its ISI inspection in June 2023 found standards and safeguarding standards met.
The school says it aims to educate the whole person, combining academic ambition with music, the arts, theatre, sport and social and moral awareness. GCSE Attainment 8 was 68.1, and 97.5% achieved grade 5 or above in English and maths; the average A-level grade was B.
