St Mark's Primary School

St Mark's Primary School is a local authority maintained community primary school in Mitcham, Merton, for boys and girls aged 3 to 11. It has nursery classes and around 220 pupils. Its most recent Ofsted inspection in January 2025 did not give an overall effectiveness grade.

At Key Stage 2, 79% of pupils achieved the expected standard in reading, writing and maths, with 18% reaching the higher standard.

The school describes itself as a one-form entry school in the heart of Mitcham town centre, serving a richly diverse population. It says learning is an exciting adventure, and that every child is recognised, nurtured and celebrated in a caring, aspirational culture focused on wellbeing, personal development and academic progress.
