New Rush Hall School is a community special school in Ilford, within Redbridge, for boys and girls aged 5 to 16. It has special classes, around 90 pupils and recorded provision for social, emotional and mental health needs. The school was rated Outstanding at its last full Ofsted inspection in January 2013, so that judgement is now dated.

The school says it is for pupils whose primary area of need is social, emotional and/or mental health difficulties. It describes pupils attending from Redbridge and neighbouring boroughs, and says its pupils are supported by a team of more than 65 staff, including senior leaders, pastoral leads and curriculum staff.
