Stockport School is a non-selective local-authority community secondary school in Stockport, teaching around 1,350 boys and girls aged 11 to 16. Its last full Ofsted inspection was Good in January 2020, so that judgement is now dated.
The school says its history dates back over 125 years, first opening in 1888 and moving to its present Mile End Lane site in 1938. At GCSE, its Attainment 8 score was 45.7 and 50.2% of pupils achieved grade 5 or above in English and maths.
