Cansfield High School is a mixed non-selective community secondary in Wigan for students aged 11 to 16. It has 1036 pupils on roll, SEN provision for autistic spectrum disorder, and was rated Good by Ofsted in July 2024.

The school says it is at the heart of Ashton-in-Makerfield and describes a community spirit with opportunities intended to build aspiration and pride. The school highlights extra-curricular sport, a historic community cup, CyberFirst Wigan MEGA hub activity and Year 7 transition events.
