Hope School is a community special school in Wigan for boys and girls aged 2 to 19. It has nursery and sixth-form provision, special classes and around 235 pupils. Ofsted rated it Outstanding at its last full inspection in July 2014, so the age of that judgement is important.
The school says Hope School and College caters for pupils and students with a diverse range of needs, including severe learning difficulties and profound and complex physical or medical needs. It describes a multidisciplinary team and an enriched curriculum within a supportive, caring community.
