Carfield Primary School is a large local-authority community primary school in Sheffield, teaching around 590 boys and girls aged 3 to 11, with nursery classes. Ofsted rated the school Requires improvement in June 2023.
At Key Stage 2, 78% of pupils met the expected standard in reading, writing and maths, with 20% reaching the higher standard.
The school says staff put children at the centre of their work, treats each child as an individual and encourages parents as partners in learning. It also describes a PTA called Carfield Friends, before- and after-school care, and activities including choir, computing, yoga and sport.
