Monkseaton High School is a foundation secondary school in Whitley Bay, North Tyneside, for students aged 13 to 18, with a sixth form and around 480 pupils. Ofsted rated it Good at its last full inspection in 2019, so that judgement is now dated.
The school says it will close permanently on 31 August 2026 and remain operational until formal closure, with support for examinations, results and transition arrangements. It says post-results services will be administered by Marden High School as the designated centre.
