Bamburgh School is a community special school in South Shields, South Tyneside, for boys and girls aged 3 to 16. It has nursery classes and serves around 220 pupils. Its SEN provision covers a wide range of needs, including autism, speech and language, sensory impairments, physical disability, social and emotional needs, and learning difficulties.

The school had an Ofsted inspection in October 2024, but that inspection did not give an overall grade. More than half of pupils are eligible for free school meals, at 54.5%, reflecting a community where pastoral and specialist support are likely to matter in day-to-day provision.
