Sunningdale School is a community special school in Sunderland for children aged 2 to 11. It has nursery classes, special classes and around 140 pupils. Its SEN provision is for severe learning difficulty and profound and multiple learning difficulty. Ofsted rated the school Outstanding in May 2013, an older rating now more than five years old.
The school says its vision is captured in the phrase 'Be More'. It describes an additional specialist Early Years Centre on a second site in Ryhope and says its SENhub provides training and advice for parents, carers, teachers and other professionals.
