Downside Primary School is a very large community primary school in Luton, teaching around 1,030 children aged 4 to 11. Its SEN provision includes autistic spectrum disorder. Ofsted rated the school Good at its older June 2015 inspection.

At Key Stage 2, 79% of pupils met the expected standard.

The school says it opened in September 2011 as a five-form-entry school and describes itself as large but welcoming and caring. It highlights an inspiring curriculum, respect for diversity, and opportunities for pupils to learn in a safe and challenging environment.
