Downe House is a Church of England independent boarding school for girls in Thatcham, within West Berkshire. It teaches ages 11 to 18, has a sixth form and has around 540 pupils.

Its November 2024 ISI inspection found standards and safeguarding standards met. The inspection summary says governors understand and fulfil their responsibilities, work closely with leaders and place pupils' wellbeing at the centre of decision-making and future planning.

At A level, the average grade was A-, and 39.6% achieved AAB or better in two or more facilitating subjects.
