Reading Blue Coat School is a selective Church of England independent school in Berkshire, within the Wokingham local authority area. It teaches boys and girls aged 11 to 19, has a sixth form and has around 820 pupils.
The school describes itself as set on the bank of the River Thames in Sonning, guided by compassion, courage and integrity. It highlights adventure education, sport, performing arts, clubs and societies alongside academic work, and says it aims to build intellectual curiosity and confidence.
Its February 2024 ISI inspection found standards and safeguarding standards met; the A-level average grade was B+, and 27.3% achieved AAB or better in two or more facilitating subjects.
