Chesnut Lodge Special School

Chesnut Lodge Special School is a community special school in Widnes, Halton, for boys and girls aged 2 to 16. Its registered SEN provision covers physical disability, moderate learning difficulty, severe learning difficulty, and profound and multiple learning difficulty; it also has nursery classes.

The school says it works with pupils with complex physical and medical difficulties and cognition and learning difficulties, including vulnerable two-year-olds and nursery-age pupils on mainstream arrangements. It describes a child-centred approach that promotes individual achievement, independence, confidence and safe, secure learning.
