George Romney Junior School is a community primary-phase junior school in Dalton-in-Furness, Westmorland and Furness, for boys and girls aged 7 to 11. Ofsted rated the school Outstanding in September 2024; 80% of Key Stage 2 pupils met the expected standard in reading, writing and maths.
The school says it officially opened in 1981 and has served children and families in Dalton ever since. It describes children being nurtured as individuals, a stimulating and reflective curriculum, collaboration with Chapel Street Infants and Nursery School, and membership of the Furness Primary Federation of 16 local schools.
