Lady Manners School is a large non-selective foundation secondary in Bakewell, Derbyshire, teaching boys and girls aged 11 to 18. It has a sixth form and a large student community. Ofsted rated it Good at its last full inspection (2020), now an older outcome.
The school says it was founded in 1636 by Grace, Lady Manners, and has occupied its current position overlooking Bakewell since 1936. It describes the motto 'Pour Y Parvenir' - 'Strive to Attain' - and highlights clubs, teams, societies, trips, visits and pastoral care. At GCSE, Attainment 8 was 52.2 and 55.2% achieved grade 5 or above in English and maths; A-level average grade was B-.
