Royal School for the Deaf Derby is a non-maintained special school in Derby, educating boys and girls aged 3 to 19. It has nursery classes, boarding and a sixth form, with SEN provision for hearing impairment. Ofsted rated the school Good at its last full inspection in May 2019, so the inspection outcome is now old.
The school describes day and residential provision for deaf children and young people from a national catchment, using a bilingual approach with English and British Sign Language and admitting severely and profoundly deaf pupils, including those with cochlear implants and visual impairments.
