Sands School is a small mixed independent school in Newton Abbot, Devon, teaching ages 11 to 18 with a sixth form and non-selective admissions. It has around 70 pupils. An ISI inspection in July 2025 found standards and safeguarding standards met.
The school describes a democratic ethos in which every member of the community has an equal say. It says there is no head teacher or senior management team, with decisions made through a weekly School Meeting on a "one voice; one vote" basis.
