Woodlands School is a foundation special school in Plymouth, teaching ages 2 to 19 with nursery classes and a sixth form. It has around 90 pupils and broad SEN provision spanning sensory impairment, physical disability, moderate learning difficulty, severe learning difficulty and profound and multiple learning difficulty. Ofsted rated it Good at its last full inspection (2014), so that view is dated.
The school describes a personalised approach to learning and development support. Its motto is "create empowered lives", and it says staff develop specialist skills through research-led practice and innovation.
