The Portsmouth Grammar School is an independent Christian school in Portsmouth for boys and girls aged 2 to 19. It has nursery classes and a sixth form.
The school says it was founded in 1732 by Dr William Smith, Physician and Mayor of Portsmouth, and remains in the historic heart of the city. It describes co-curricular activity as integral to school life, with pupils encouraged to explore sport, music, theatre and other interests, and says pastoral care treats each student as an individual.
Its ISI inspection in September 2025 found standards met and safeguarding standards met.
