Thurton Primary School is a small Church of England voluntary controlled primary in Norfolk, for boys and girls aged 4 to 11. Ofsted rated it Outstanding at its last full inspection (2015), so that inspection is now dated; at Key Stage 2, 40% of pupils met the expected standard in reading, writing and maths.
The school describes mixed-age, mixed-ability classes supported by teachers and learning support assistants, with flexible grouping to match pupils' stages of development. It also highlights specialist teaching and support across modern foreign languages, music, special educational needs, Forest School and physical education.
