The school describes its Quaker heritage as shaping an education rooted in simplicity, truth, equality, peace and sustainability. It says pupils are encouraged to be adventurous and challenging in their search for truth, to enjoy learning for its own sake, and to take part in sporting, cultural, outdoor and leadership/service opportunities.
