Gateshead College is a mixed further education college in Gateshead, serving learners from age 16 into adulthood. Ofsted rated the college Good in May 2023. Its A-level average grade is C, 6.3% of A-level students achieved AAB or better in two or more facilitating subjects, and 19% progressed to higher education.
The college says it has been around since the 1940s and focuses on helping people gain skills and qualifications for work and life. It describes an Education with Employment Edge ethos, community conversations, employer support and work with individuals and organisations locally.
