Belmont School is an independent special school in Rossendale, Lancashire, for pupils aged 5 to 18. It has a sixth form, special classes and SEN provision for social, emotional and mental health, serving around 145 pupils. Ofsted judged the school Good in November 2022 and found the independent school standards met.
The school says many pupils have experienced previous educational difficulties or additional learning and communication challenges, and describes a trauma-informed approach built around relationships, trust, nurture, teaching and pastoral care.
