Jamea Al Kauthar is an independent Muslim girls' school in Lancaster for ages 11 to 25. It is registered as a boarding school, has a sixth form and non-selective admissions. Ofsted rated it Good in June 2022, and independent school standards were met.
The school says it aims to educate Muslim girls over the age of 11 in a safe, secure, happy and Islamic environment. It says Jamea started with 60 girls in September 1996 and offers traditional sciences alongside secondary and further education, including an abridged Alimiyyah programme in English.
