Oakfield House School is a small independent special school near Preston, Lancashire, for children aged 4 to 12.
It serves around 45 children. It has special classes, selective admissions, and SEN provision spanning specific learning difficulty, autism, social, emotional and mental health needs, and moderate learning difficulty. Ofsted rated the school Good in 2022, and independent school standards were met.
The school says it caters for autistic children with additional needs in a country house built in the 1880s, set in eight acres of parkland, and focuses on life skills including communication, social ability, sensory processing and emotional regulation.
