Lancaster Independent School for Alternative Learning (Lisal) is a very small non-selective independent school in Lancaster for children aged 3 to 11. It has nursery classes and serves around 12 pupils. Ofsted judged the school Good in July 2023 and found the independent school standards met.
The school says it was formerly Lancaster Steiner School and that its lower school follows the Waldorf curriculum, with values around the whole child, head, heart and hands, creativity, imagination and responsibility for the natural world.
