Avocet House is a very small independent special boarding school in Heckingham, Norfolk, for boys and girls aged 8 to 18. It supports specific learning difficulty and social, emotional and mental health needs.
The school says it opened in April 2005 and offers a 52-week integrated therapeutic residential placement, with dual registration as a residential special school and a children's home, in a domestic-scale rural setting within reach of Norwich, Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth.
