Parkside House School is a small independent special school in North Tyneside for boys and girls aged 10 to 19. It has special classes and SEN provision for social, emotional and mental health needs and moderate learning difficulty. At its July 2023 Ofsted inspection, it was judged Good and independent standards were met. A separate ISI inspection in February 2026 found standards and safeguarding met.
The school describes itself as 'a small school for big change' and says it specialises in teaching pupils with SEMH needs and associated learning difficulties. It highlights a curriculum supporting academic and vocational qualifications, alongside therapeutic and relationship-based support.
