The academy says it was established in 2008 by Sir David Samworth and the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham. It describes a holistic Christian ethos, Round Square membership, and campus facilities including a climbing wall, high ropes course, dance studio, drama pod, cadet force, hairdressing salon and animal care unit.
