The King John School is a very large academy secondary school in Benfleet, Essex, teaching boys and girls aged 11 to 18. It has a sixth form and a non-selective intake. Ofsted rated the school Good in September 2021.
The school says it was created in 1949 and serves Thundersley, Benfleet and students from further afield. It describes a mission of education for all, underpinned by PRIDE values: positivity, resilience, integrity, dignity and equality, with a broad curriculum that includes languages, design technology, sport and the arts.
