Thurstable School is a mixed, non-selective secondary academy near Colchester, in Essex, for ages 11 to 16. Ofsted judged it Requires improvement in February 2023, and its SEN provision covers a wide range of learning, communication, sensory, physical and SEMH needs.
The school says it has been central to the Tiptree and Blackwater communities for decades. It describes a mission of 'Building Knowledge, Growing Character', with staff responsible for educating the whole child and helping pupils develop character for future challenges.
