Platt Bridge Community School is a mixed primary converter academy in Wigan, teaching children from age 2 to 11. It has nursery classes and SEN provision for specific learning difficulty. Ofsted rated it Good in September 2024.
The school says its overarching aim is for every child to be socially, emotionally and academically prepared for the next stage of education and life. It also describes home-school partnership as central and says it was the first full-service extended school within Wigan authority.
