Carleton High School is a large non-selective secondary academy in Pontefract, Wakefield, for boys and girls aged 11 to 16. Its SEN provision includes autistic spectrum disorder. Ofsted rated the school Good at its last full inspection (2019), a rating now more than six years old.
The school says its purpose is to improve life chances for young people. It describes values of respect, responsibility, determination and excellence, and highlights wider activities such as leadership opportunities, educational visits and extra-curricular clubs.
