The Ruth Gorse Academy is a very large mixed secondary free school in Leeds, teaching students aged 11 to 16. Ofsted rated the school Outstanding at its last full inspection (2017).
The school says it opened in September 2014 with just over 100 students in its first cohort and is named after Ruth Gorse, a teacher at The Morley Academy. It describes values of warmth, ambition, kindness and resilience, alongside Culture Month and ACE Ambassadors for the nine protected characteristics.
