Energy Coast UTC is a university technical college in Workington, Cumberland, for students aged 14 to 19. It has a sixth form and serves a smaller rural area further from a major town or city.
Ofsted rated the school Good in May 2023. At GCSE, its Attainment 8 score was 24.2 and 12.4% achieved grade 5 or above in English and maths. The UTC says it was created through a partnership between education and industry, with a curriculum focused on engineering, civil engineering, academic study and industry-standard technical qualifications for Cumbria and beyond.
