Thomas Gainsborough School is a large secondary academy in Sudbury, Suffolk, teaching boys and girls aged 11 to 18 with sixth form provision. The most recent Ofsted inspection in December 2024 did not give an overall grade. At GCSE, the school's Attainment 8 score was 46.1, and 45.7% of pupils achieved grade 5 or above in English and maths. Its A-level average grade was B-, 13.8% achieved AAB or better in two facilitating subjects, and 46% went on to higher education.
