The Mendip School is a mixed special free school in Shepton Mallet, Somerset, for ages 4 to 19. It has a sixth form and provides for autistic spectrum disorder and speech, language and communication needs.
The school says it is for pupils with a primary diagnosis of autism and speech and language communication needs. It describes small-group teaching, work with other professionals, preparation for adulthood, and an ethos of respect, trust, enjoying life and learning. Ofsted rated it Good at its last full inspection (2018), now an older rating.
