Northstar New School is a small independent special school in Barking and Dagenham for boys and girls aged 7 to 16. Its SEN provision covers autism and social, emotional and mental health needs.

The school says it works with children who have found mainstream environments challenging because of complex special educational needs. It describes individualised and group learning, small class sizes and a high staff ratio. Ofsted rated the school Outstanding in July 2023, and the independent school standards were recorded as met.
