The Shires at Oakham is a small independent special school in Rutland for ages 11 to 19. Its SEN provision covers autistic spectrum disorder and severe learning difficulty. Ofsted judged the school Good in May 2022, and also found the independent school standards met in 2022.
The school describes nurturing provision for autistic children and young people, and those with associated needs, built around resilient learners, trusted relationships and brighter futures.
