South Lakes Academy is a small independent special school in Kendal, Westmorland and Furness, for students aged 11 to 25. Ofsted rated it Good in September 2024 and found all independent school standards met.

The school says it was founded in 2016 as alternative provision for students who are unable to attend a mainstream school, and describes a safe, supportive learning environment for developing skills and knowledge.
