Durham Academy is a non-selective secondary academy in Durham for pupils aged 11 to 16. Ofsted judged it Requires Improvement in 2022. Its SEN provision includes specific learning difficulty, visual impairment, speech, language and communication needs, autism, social, emotional and mental health, physical disability and moderate learning difficulty.
The academy describes itself as inclusive and comprehensive, with support and challenge for students and a curriculum designed to build resilience. In GCSE measures, its Attainment 8 score was 37.4 and 22% of pupils achieved grade 5 or above in English and maths.
