Light Years School is a small independent special school in Fareham, Hampshire, for boys and girls aged 7 to 11. Ofsted rated the school Outstanding in September 2024 and found all independent school standards were met.
The school says it is part of Light Years Education Ltd and was founded to provide a safe, nurturing environment for children with special educational needs. It describes classrooms designed to be neurodiverse-sensitive, low-sensory, attachment-aware and trauma-informed, with visual supports and sensory resources used to help pupils feel ready to learn.
