Kirkby Thore School is a small sponsor-led primary academy near Penrith, in Westmorland and Furness, teaching 34 boys and girls aged 3 to 11. It has nursery classes, and Ofsted rated the school Inadequate in May 2023.

It says it is a traditional primary in the heart of its community, set in the shadow of the Pennines, with the motto 'Aim High' and expectations to be safe, respectful and ready to learn.
