Applefields School is a special academy in York, teaching young people aged 11 to 19, with a sixth form and capacity for around 224. Its SEN provision spans a wide range of needs, including autism, speech, language and communication needs, social, emotional and mental health, moderate and specific learning difficulties, physical disability, and sensory impairments.
The school describes itself as a warm, energetic community where every young person is supported to flourish in their own way, with inclusion, independence and wellbeing at the heart of its work.
