The school describes itself as a new, forward-thinking special school that opened to pupils in April 2026, providing for pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan. It says it has welcomed its first groups of Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, combining high expectations with a nurturing environment and high staff-to-pupil ratios — preparing pupils for independence and wellbeing as well as academic progress.
